Hybrid Work

On this page are graphic digital images intended for print; created by layering my paint on paper work and my photographs in a Photoshop editing process but without the use of Ai. I like this way of working - creating bodies of work and building them out to a dozen or two dozen related images. All the "collage" materials are my own work. No Ai.

Growth (16x20")

I loved making this series and I will likely be adding to it from time to time. With this series I repurposed photographs of my own artwork -paint on paper & photographs- forming graphic elements that I then "cut out. " I use Photoshop editing software to cut out the shapes and compose the finished image. All collaged from my own work, even the snips of multi-colored knitting is my own. No Ai.

The Emblems (16x20")

With this set I photographed my artwork - abstract compositions painted on textured board with acrylic paints - and I photographed a seletion of vintage construction papers. And I photogaphed objects or textures I found interesting. Then, in Photoshop, I layered several images together, cutting away to reveal geometric or graphic shapes, to arrive at these compositions that suggest emblems.
