Hourglass
All are 16x20". To create these works I first photographed a selection of vintage construction papers then using Photoshop I "cut" the papers into shapes and created the basic arrangement of shapes. Then I added graphic elements to the top shapes - lines, scribbles, flowers, dots, fonts, and birds - in as many color variations as I could imagine. These images are available as digital files ready to print.

Smoke Rings
All are 16x20". Here again, with this set, I used the photos of the vintage construction papers as a base layer, then I "drew," using Photoshop, layers of elliptical shapes in a soft white color. Lastly I created color versions of the one composition. In the first work, instead of using the soft white color, I used photographs of textured surfaces - a lichen covered granite boulder, a couple of different cement walls with splashes of paint dripping down, a highly textured glass panel, and a worn, weathered and defaced metal side panel of a utility box.
